Halifax-based designer earns national recognition
Halifax designer Chris Joyce recently showcased his work at the Canadian Home Furnishings Market in Toronto, the biggest furniture fair in Canada. His inventive “map rugs” won praise during the event, including special mention in the Globe & Mail’s Style section in last weekend’s edition. His rugs depict chic aerial views of cities such as New York, Toronto, Paris and Rome. The wool carpets are hand-tufted in India and are being sold through Hellenic Canada.
