Festive, unconventional wreaths

By Janice Hudson Dec 9, 2010

I always find wreaths particularly eye-catching when they’re made of materials you don’t expect.

I still love the fresh woodsy smell of evergreen and balsam fir boughs, but I think it’s fun to be a little playful with your holiday décor. It definitely keeps you from getting bored with the look if you switch things up every now and then.

I have pictured here the Season’s Fleetings wreath from Anthropologie. I love its display of colourful, natural feathers but it may be a bit too delicate for hanging on the front door (inside the front door might be better)

The Iron Bell wreath from HomeSense is really festive–I like its weathered, brassy patina.

The Twig Wreath, also from HomeSense. It’s shiny metallic edges give the look of frozen ice.
