Bold pattern, evocative artwork and a unique chandelier punctuated the dining room designed by Wave Interiors. “We want to create a space people will feel cozy and comfortable in, and that has a lot of personality,” says Wave Interiors co-owner Tracy Furlotte. A vibrant Paisley wallpaper provided an elegant backdrop for the artwork in the space. “And the scale of the print makes it modern,” notes co-owner Jennifer Kelly.
On one wall, three portraits in gold frames added warmth and intimacy and provided hits of colour. An abstract painting by Heather Sayeau from Secord Gallery hung over the credenza at the back. The light fixture featured hand-blown glass globes held inside a wire cage, echoing the moorings used in fishing gear. The team’s chef match at the Dine By Design East 2014 Gala evening was Jane Wright of Jane’s Next Door.
