We’ve just sent our fall magazine to the printer, and it’s looking fantastic. Here are a few highlights from the issue, which will be hitting Atlantic Canadian newsstands the week of September 14.
I’m really excited about this stylish DIY home in Summerside, P.E.I., with the story by first-time ECL writer Cassandra Bernard and the photos by Stephen Harris. Homeowner Jane Gallant loves using vintage décor and family heirlooms in eclectic fresh ways in the décor. This is a shot of her living room.
In our food section, writer/photographer Jessica Emin (another first-time ECL contributor we’re thrilled to have on board) digs up cool new ways of enjoying carrots. Here’s a shot by Jessica of the Rustic Roasted Carrots with Sardines.
In our décor section, Heather Fegan explores easy fall flower arrangements. For inspiration, we had a photo shoot of gorgeous bouquets by Neville MacKay of My Mother’s Bloomers in Halifax. Here’s a shot by photographer Beth Dunham of a loose, seasonal bouquet that’s got everything from poppy and allium pods to sunflowers and hydrangeas.
The new magazine should reach subscribers across Atlantic Canada the week of September 14. If you’re not yet a subscriber, consider signing up online so you’ll always receive the latest issue first. Stay tuned for more sneak peeks in the coming days (I’ll be posting the cover image on Thursday), and feel free to drop me a line with your feedback and story ideas. There’s also plenty to check out here on our website and on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
