Gala evening, Thursday, October 1, 2015:
Olympic Community Centre, 2304 Hunter Street in Halifax.
The Gala begins at 6 p.m. for VIP ticket holders–general admission starts at 7 p.m. Enjoy a special “cocktail by design” upon arrival, a red-carpet photo op at the door, and mingle with the designers and chefs discussing their creations and sampling the food. Food service goes from about 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. The Olympic Community Centre will be completely transformed for the event. Upstairs, there will be live and silent auctions, pop-up galleries with artwork available for purchase, as well as sampling of wine, beer and liquor from some of our region’s top suppliers. Participating galleries include: Studio 21 Fine Art, Secord GallerySwoon Fine Art, The Dart Gallery and Teichert Gallery, plus artwork by NSCAD University alumni and students. As the night unfolds, the event will take on a fun party vibe, with a DJ providing music.

Fashion Show, Friday, October 2 at 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.:
Olympic Community Centre, 2304 Hunter Street in Halifax
Experience a tea-room style fall fashion show that brings together the fashion leaders of the East Coast, including new fall styles from some of the East Coast’s leading designers, plus looks designed by NSCAD design students. Tickets include a catered gourmet boxed lunch By Kitchen Door Catering. Stay afterwards and enjoy the incredible work of East Coast’s creative community at the Dine By Design East installation.

Weekend Design Seminars & General Admission, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 3 – 4:

Enjoy the chance to view the dining rooms at your leisure. Public viewing is open Saturday October 3 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday October 4 from noon to 5 p.m. For your dining pleasure, some of Halifax’s top food trucks will be offering their yummy creations in the Olympic Community Hall parking lot over the weekend.

Plant-Based Cuisine 101 with Chef Diandra Phipps, EnVie

Sunday, October 4 at  1 p.m.

Join HGTV star Meredith Heron for this fun, informative seminar as she shares inspiration and tips on how to incorporate luxurious furniture, décor and accessories into your home! Meredith is an interior designer and television host whose work is an extensive conversation with colour, form, pattern and texture.
