I thought it would be fun to post some photos of a food photo shoot that happened earlier this week

Chef Aldo Villani was our host and he prepared a slew of delicious recipes featuring ginger, including Thai Ginger Pineapple Cucumber Salad, Ginger Glazed Scallops and  Ginger Orange Crème Brulée. We’ll be featuring his incredible recipes and more in our fall issue.

Chef Aldo’s kitchen in Porter’s Lake was the perfect backdrop for the shoot—it’s modern and beautiful with marble counters, a black stainless steel backsplash and a huge gas stove and range.

Writer Valerie Mansour took these behind-the-scenes photos of the shoot. That’s photographer James Ingram with the camera. Watch for James’s polished photos plus the ginger recipes in our upcoming fall issue, which is on newsstands September 12.
