I thought it would be fun to post some photos from the Nova Scotia Designer Craft Council’s Christmas Show this past weekend.
We hosted Designer Interiors Talks each day of the show. Here’s a shot of our presenters Mark F. Martin and Shay Ingram of M Home chatting with Helen Ferguson, gallery coordinator for Gallery@Acts (the show is coming up in Halifax this coming February, by the way).

For her presentation, Evandra Panych of Evandra Interiors discussed how to build a design scheme around a piece of artwork using colour, texture and repetition.

Presenter Eileen Crowley Couse of Emerald Interiors urged people to stop hiding away their gorgeous place settings in the china cabinet.

Over 100 artisans showcased their wares at the show. This beautiful concrete and wood table design caught my eye. It’s designed by Randy Mugford of 65 Design, based in Portuguese Cove, N.S.

Admiring the stunning fibre art by Rahola Drdul Fine Art based in Windsor, N.S. Love the colour and texture of this piece!

Artist Rosemary Metz’s innovative sculptures feature ceramic and local granite from Prospect, N.S.

My scratchy photo really doesn’t do it justice, but this is a piece of decorative glass by Cape Breton-based Fusion Art Glass. They use crushed wine and beer bottles to create these elegant designs.

Who were your favourite exhibitors at the show?
