After working on the winter issue for what felt like forever, it’s great to see the stacks of new East Coast Living copies in the office. I thought it would be fun to share some highlights from our new magazine.

On our new cover, we’re excited to be showcasing a stylish family home in Fredericton, N.B. It’s a bungalow turned two-storey family home that Mallory Lennon (of ReImagine Designs) and husband Matt Daigle revamped room by room. Here’s an online exclusive shot of the sleek subway-tiled kitchen. I love the open shelving—it’s so streamlined and clean, and great for showing off unique pieces.

Over in our décor section, we profile the 10 incredible dining spaces showcased at Dine By Design East, our annual fundraiser for design education. Ten design teams built their rooms from the ground up inside blank plywood spaces, spotlighting the best local materials, suppliers, and artists. Here’s a shot of Avondale Construction’s dramatic Cardboard Cathedral with team members Ryan Garnett, David Bourque, and Chris Crawford.

We also showcase the recipes created by 10 local chefs who were part of the Dine By Design East gala. Here’s a collage of the food scene from our gala night. Artists in their own right, the chefs shone new light on their creativity and passion for local ingredients and suppliers.
