Ribbon Sandwiches

Can’t decide which to try? Have both. This sandwich combines fillings and breads.


  • 4 loaves day-old brown bread
  • 2 loaves day-old white bread
  • Butter or margarine, softened
  • Ham and egg filling


  1. Spread butter and ham filling on a slice of brown bread. Top with a slice of white bread.
  2. Spread butter and egg filling on white bread and top with a slice of brown bread.
  3. Remove crusts.
  4. To serve, slice in 1 cm slices (lengthwise) then cut slices into 3–4 sandwiches.
  5. Wrap and chill.
